Yes, you can use tools as they weren’t intended, but most people follow the patterns suggested by the design." Reminded me of "our writing tools are also working on our thoughts". Our brains are pretty plastic and will adapt to 'the rules of the game' and I imagine that these days, those rules are defined by the affordances provided by the software.
