Zebras Fix What Unicorns Break
- HillaryBriss 9y agoThink of our most valuable institutions — journalism, education, healthcare, government, the “third sector” of nonprofits and social enterprises — as houses upon which democracy rests. Unicorn companies are rewarded for disrupting these, for razing them to the ground. Are Uber or Facebook really responsible for razing journalism, education, healthcare, government, nonprofits or social enterprises to the ground? Couldn't we also make the case that democracy rests to a great degree upon another house, known as "the people", too?
