The interview process in our field is indeed humiliating, and it infuriates me when people refer to this mythical "shortage" of developers. The interview process centered around competitive coding and academic trivia questions is proof that there is no shortage. The problem isn't merely lack of feedback, a lot of the time they won't even contact you to inform you that they're not interested even after multiple rounds of interviews. We need to start outing companies who refuse to give feedback.
