I eventually gave up on Notepad++ because I became increasingly frustrated with the syntax highlighting inconsistencies. I was trying to get Solarized Markdown highlighting working. Edit: I lie, it was Twilight [0] I just wanted to get that working with Markdown - but there are just so many limitations with the syntax highlighting system and I was always making tradoffs.
