Visual Studio supports column-based selection using Alt+Shift with up/down arrows or the mouse to select a column, so you can add any number of spaces or any other text on all of the rows at once. I'd assume SSMS is the same, since it's based on VS. But that's still not a good reason to use spaces (especially 2 spaces) and say "FU" to programmers suffering from diplopia.
