Yes, but a "tort" is not a "refund." Should they make the person whole? Absolutely. Do they have to? Probably not based on their merchant/banking agreements.

- thaumasiotes 9y agoYou don't get to choose whether you're liable for a tort. Nor will your merchant/banking agreements protect you.
