Almost their entire profit comes from iphones. I think it's fair to refer to it as "the iPhone maker". Most people have heard of Apple only in relation to iPhone.
- zepto 9y agoNeither of these are true: About 2/3 of Apple's profit comes from iPhones. Apple was a household name before the iPhone existed, because of the iPod.
- sspyder 9y agoI disagree. It might be what they are most talked about now, but I think most people are familiar with their history. Steve Jobs, the old macs in schools, iPod, iMac, etc.
- pound 9y agoNope, if you'll consider most people (as in worldwide) today vast majority of people have no idea what old macs in schools are. But iPhones are big.
- Joeri 9y agoThen you also need to call google "the ads company", since 90% of their revenue comes from ads.
