Drugmaker Behind Vivitrol Tries to Cash in on Opioid Epidemic, State by State
- tcj_phx 9y agoThe active drug in vivitrol, naltrexone, can also be injected under the skin as pellets for a similar time-release effect. Vivitrol is just a company making a new administration method (such as the ephedrine/epipen swindle) to cash in on a generic drug. Naltrexone is a much better treatment than maintenance opiates, but still does not address the fundamental factors behind addiction.
