What is the good alternative to Skype? Slack? but it also based on the Electron.

It seems hard to find a new messaging app that isn't based on Electron. Mumble is still around, Matrix/Riot seems to be coming along nicely and I think they have voice calls now. For my group of friends, we just gave in and use Discord now, despite being Electron it does fit our needs pretty well.

Been using riot.im for voice calls and it has been working quite well. Haven't tested video call yet.
