I could never understand what Google wanted with Boston Dynamics. It seemed like a huge risk to their brand:
Google, 2001: "Don't be evil."
Google, 2013: "We make military robots."
- ttam 9y agoWell, I could never understand why they're selling BD. Such cool research. And now they're Alphabet, so the brand thing should've been ok.

- Jach 9y agoThe original slogan always had a convenient loophole. It's about not being evil, but not necessarily not doing evil. If you accept that something can do evil without being evil, it all works out to justify most anything.
