Why is this a big concern when chrome is mostly open source and you can download chromium? If Google takes a very wrong step, chrome can be forked.
- falcolas 9y agoChromium (not Chrome) can indeed be forked. Yet that won't help with things like DirectTV going Chrome only. Or Google's marketing of Chrome to users of other browsers. Or finding developers capable of maintaining a fork with the current flood of web standards.
