Looks like processor architecture really matters. Btw - is LLVM still faster on a 5-year-old machine than on an iPad? I am seeing well, right?

  You've got it exactly the wrong way around. The iPad has nearly double the score in that particular benchmark (higher is better).

  You saw the reverse. :) LLVM is much faster on the iPad.
