Nice. Now read this (I think it says the same thing just shorter):
We are uncovering better ways of developing
software by doing it and helping others do it.
Through this work we have come to value:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
That is, while there is value in the items on
the right, we value the items on the left more.
- ChristianGeek 9y agoThat sounds vaguely familiar. ;)
- mgrandau 9y agojust a shorter version of everything he said in the blog post.
- AstralStorm 9y agoSure, businesses like working software right now and documentation never. And especially not proof or good design. Pile of technical debt accumulates. They do not like interactions nor individuals at all. Too unreliable. They prefer processes but in so doing force bad processes and separation of concerns that prevents in depth solutions. Responding to change without vision causes random changes slowing work down and preventing important ones (churn). So where is your value on the left?
