That's great if you want to pay for good journalism. That doesn't excuse publishers from showing you one page if you are Google, and another if you are a non-logged-in user. If publishers want to attract people to get them to subscribe, they need to find other ways that don't violate Google's search policies that have been in place since seemingly forever around cloaking[1].
