The creator, an Amazon engineer, did disallow trading AMZN, for a start

It doesn't look like there's any payout, nor a requirement to buy in to play. I don't see a way for any laundering to happen. As for insider trading, it's a collective voting game. I don't see a way to increase the value of one's vote, so I can't imagine it ever falling afoul of insider trading.
