Not really programming books, but these have helped me with programming jobs.
-How to make friends and influence people. Anyone who works collaboratively with people needs to be able to communicate effectively.
-The Elements of style. Writing understandable code is similar to any other type of writing.
- Cerium 9y agoElements of Style, also referred to as "Strunk and White" is a gem of a style guide. It can be read every few years to get back on track.

- beat 9y agoThe title seems, well, creepy, in modern language. Like it's manipulative. It's not. It was written in the 1930s, and has been continuously in print since then. How many books have achieved that honor? That's because it's one of the best books you will ever read. Absorbing its lessons will make you a better person.
