How do I do this for AT&T?
- pxeboot 9y agoI have only heard of this on business accounts. Not sure they will do it for consumers.
- troydavis 9y agoAT&T Web-based chat support will do it in about 5 minutes. Ask for a "port block" so other carriers can't port your number away from AT&T. Even if you don't use SMS as a second factor, unless you regularly switch carriers, there's no downside to doing this.
- tbird24 9y agoDo you know if this is reversible? If I ever want to switch at some point in the future?
- troydavis 9y agoYes, just chat with or call your existing carrier to un-lock your number before porting.
- alimoeeny 9y agoI went through the online chat, after much back and forth the only thing they offer are (to a regular user like myself, don't know about business accounts): 2- passcode you setup online, 4-8 digit number, in addition to your number, that is required for both online or in persona interactions with ATT support 1- "we will inform you before we transfer your number"
