A wild sheep chase by Haruki Murakami
- mindcrime 9y agoYou can never go wrong with Murakami. I haven't read that one but it's on my list for Real Soon Now.
- aisofteng 9y agoMurakami never manages to keep my interest and halfway through I just want it to be over. I've always attributed it to losses in translation.
- mindcrime 9y agoInteresting. I had exactly the opposite experience with my first Murakami. I was at Barnes & Noble one Sunday evening, grabbed one of his titles (After Dark) off the shelf, intending to flip through a few pages; and next thing you know the store is about to close and I'm halfway through the book. I bought the copy, drove home and finished reading it that night. I was hooked pretty much from the get-go.
