Good point and one we are also thinking about. I can't imagine a reason for Apple to reject such a framework, since it is really only basic socket connections

I can't imagine a reason for Apple to reject such a framework, since it is really only basic socket connections with a bit of additional logic. They can't take sockets away from developers.
