the question is do i want to get tracked by google contributor or google ads?
- netzone 9y agoI can just imagine; try contributor once, get drowned in invasive ads because you've already shown you're willing to pay for less ads.
- nsebban 9y agoHey, do you remember that time when people thought Google would never do any sketchy or annoying stuff to their users ? That's now so far away...
- isoprophlex 9y ago"Don't be evil" Yeah right...
- criddell 9y agoIf Google contributor also came with a promise to not track you then I would consider. Until then, I'm using uBlock. I don't mind advertising at all.
- mrweasel 9y agoYeah, the main issue with the "scheme" is "works with your Google account to remove ads". So not only am I paying, I'm also inconvenienced by having to have a Google account and I have to be permanently logged in. This is online music all over again. I'm not being presented with an option that is superior to the unprofitable solution I'm currently using. As long as using adblockers is a better experience than paying for content, it simply isn't going to work.
