Salesforce has evolved beyond a simple SaaS based CRM - it is now effectively a low-code application development platform.
At any rate, I think the article rings true for many of the SaaS players in the "long tail".
- mbesto 9y ago> "SaaS based CRM" SaaS isn't a type of software or solution, it's a delivery model. You don't use "SaaS" for sales, you use a CRM that is accessed to you through a SaaS delivery model. So it's "low-code application development platform" is still delivered to you via a SaaS model.
