- mkmk 9y agoThe Kindle app + following along with http://infinitejest.wallacewiki.com/david-foster-wallace/index.php?title=Main_Page http://infinitejest.wallacewiki.com/david-foster-wallace/ind... in a browser was key for me.
- hbosch 9y agoYou might like a Kindle.
- rockostrich 9y agoI wouldn't recommend reading it on Kindle unless they made it easier. 2 bookmarks and a physical copy is the way to go.
- cyberpunk 9y agoOn my oasis I can just tap on a footnote reference and it'll take me to it, then tap back to bring me to the main text once I've read it... Am I missing something, did this process use to be harder (I think my first was a paper white which I vaguely remember as having the same feature)? I find that easier than flipping through a massive book, at least...
- jandrese 9y agoOn the Kindle app clicking on a footnote brings you to the first footnote, regardless of which one you clicked. Clicking on the footnote again brings you to the start of the chapter (or sometimes the start of the previous chapter). Drove me crazy when I read Three Body Problem.
- savanaly 9y agoIt's not so bad in dead tree form if you use two bookmarks (one for the main text, one for the endnotes).
- dwtdfw 9y agoI prefer it in kindle form, i.e., lighting it on fire.
