Britain Police Arrest Twitter/Facebook Users If They Make Anti-Muslim Statements
- hackuser 9y agoThis article is sensationalizing a very inflammatory issue. For example, the article claims the arrests are "at the behest" of one group, but the citation used doesn't say that. The arrests seem to be at the behest of the law enforcement enforcing the laws as passed by the government. There are serious issues of free speech and incitement involved, but this article is not the way to address them.
- bobbington 9y agoThis is almost hard to believe. Europe is uber obsessed with women's rights, and no religion is more harsh on women than Islam. I mean, their holy book literally says it's ok to beat your wife! I'm all for tolerance and loving people who are different than you. But how they can defend a religion that goes against women's rights they so vehemently support is beyond me. Hopefully they will wake up and see the contradiction before people start going to jail for denying Mohamed's inspiration.
