Judged on it's own mission statement, Mozilla has failed as an organization, and that's been clear for at least the last 5 years. The two biggest internet trends over the last decade have been app store distribution of mobile apps and the social graph. Mozilla has did little, maybe nothing to make either of those open and accessible to all. This is due to an ongoing lack of vision and leadership for an organization that tries to do 1000 things and fails at doing the 1 or 2 important things. It's pretty safe to say that the nextgen decentralized internet will be built, but it won't be built by Mozilla. Instead, they will do probably do something silly like buy Brave. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
