Same could be said of TV/Sports/Games/Any form of leisure The only difference in social media is that we have actual data on how we're spending our data, vs. in the past when we didn't. To suggest that this is new is silly. Perhaps, perhaps there's a point to be made about the scale of social media and how many people it impacts. But it's hard for me to believe, without any data, that it's tangibly harming us more than any other form of leisure.
