Getting likes is addicting, sure, but scrolling through my newsfeed and seeing autoplay videos with obnoxious text banners in impact font ('me af rn crying-laughing-face-emoji fire 100 100') has made it so that I'm very annoyed with social media.

It had reduced in my time to the odd few minutes scrolling threw the news feed. It just did nothing for me. I don't miss it.

I have never understood this complaint. Why don't you just unfollow those people? How many of them could you possibly know? This seems like a problem that can't exist for more than a week or two if it actually bothered you, since unfollowing someone when you see low quality posts like that will clean up your feed pretty rapidly. (Note that unfollow is different from unfriend on Facebook)
