The average person is losing faith in science because of high profile failures, and the distrust is only increasing.

- michaelmrose 9y agoAuthor has some interesting things to say but appears to be an apologist for anti intellectual rednecks whom are somehow some unappreciated source of cultural wisdom. He believes trump supporters/and brexit fans are voting in their own interests as opposed to being duped to serve others, describs intellectual persuits as not proper jobs and further states "people are perfectly entitled to rely on their own ancestral instinct and listen to their grandmothers (or Montaigne and such filtered classical knowledge) with a better track record than these policymaking goons."
