UPS implemented a system where they try to minimize the number of left turns, which apparently had impressive savings in terms of fuel cost and time. I wouldn't be surprised if left hand turns are also the most dangerous.
- kwhitefoot 9y agoI think that safety was the reason they did it. I think that at least some of their vehicles are right hand drive (to make getting out of the vehicle safer) as well which means that left turns are noticeably more dangerous than right turns.
