How can we distribute resources in the best way to benefit all people?

As a part-time philosopher, full-time dreamer, part-time coder ninja I am wondering sometimes about our resources as a nation and as a globe, and I wonder about a few major topics: Can we somehow cut through the human social bs to get everyone a house? We actually have way more empty houses than homeless people in the United States. On a grand-scale view that makes no sense. What else... How can we distribute food better? The best solution I have so far is local growing of organic & fog-ponic food for where space/weight/time are at a premium. Alright, love you all, have an awesome Moonday HN. P.s.
