Is this article being intentionally ironic? I agree with the idea that not questioning the 40 hour work week is crazy. However, it seems like the author is substituting 40 hours of butt-in-chair work for 35 hours of the same and 5 hours of more relaxed pontificating work. I feel like 30 hours is plenty and 20 hours is sufficient for many jobs. That would be a more direct challenging of the 40 hour belief.
