Papers have a social duty to represent the goings-on of the world to their readers. If they're publishing fabricated stories 'for the lols', then I feel they should be clearly marked/presented as substantially different to the newspapers who do fact-based reporting. Oh, that story where we called you a child-molesting tax-dodging illegal refugee? That was clearly a joke! Private Eye manages to both entertain and inform, but it's very dry.
