Sorry for my wording issues -- I wasn't making a statement about whether giving such an option is good or bad, I was trying to talk about what went wrong in that case when the humans had to take over. We both agree that the humans need to be provided critical data (including AOA) so when they need to take over, they have a proper set of information and aren't missing anything and don't need to reverse-engineer the AOA from the stall warning horn and the airspeed when the aircraft measures it in the first damn place!
