Nausea in VR is already a solved problem, at least for the case where you have a stationary camera. This is for giving people an extra method of depth perception, but one which isn't strictly necessary.
- istorical 9y agoSaying nausea is solved in VR is like a casual observer saying space flight is solved after the first Wright brothers flight. I say this as a VR enthusiast who is optimistic about the industry. You can't say it's solved until an HMD can forcefully move your viewport in-HMD without triggering nausea caused by the real body not moving.
- Pxtl 9y agoTo be fair, he did say a stationary camera.
- srinathrajaram 9y agoCurious to know why you say it is a 'solved' problem. The paper linked in the article claims to have a better solution.
