More commonly, it's a solid white line. My point is to show that there are likely many cases like this that can foil the autonomous navigation and lead to dangerous situations. What's interesting to consider is that yes, I accept that autonomous systems will reduce the number of accidents, injuries and fatalities on the roadways. However, the people who actually get injured or killed will be a different set of people than without autonomy. They'll want to be compensated.
