Good point, no one reads documentation / site messages. :-) Cutting off content halfway through with a message at the end would work well for text extraction and other long-format sorts of data, but what about form data extraction and such? That's where the munging of content started really, and I'm not sure what a better solution would be for short key/value pairs.
