I would say firstly perhaps you need to adjust your expectations which might help you refrain from terminating a relationship that could over time develop into something lasting, and secondly why not look abroad? Ignore the stigma. I suspect this originates from women that feel threatened by beautiful foreign women, and men that are envious.
