Since I wrote my article (http://journal.uggedal.com/vps-performance-comparison http://journal.uggedal.com/vps-performance-comparison) comparing VPS performance last fall Linode has had two network outages in their Newark data center which have affected http://wasitup.com http://wasitup.com. Other than the network glitches their hardware have been 100% stable (I'm currently running on 4 different physical machines).
