Every other company that pitched "We're Uber for X" and got turned down by VCs saying "You won't be able to compete with Uber".
- enraged_camel 9y agoThis doesn't make sense. Companies that pitch they are "Uber for X" aren't competing with Uber. They are using Uber's business model in other markets.
- DonHopkins 9y agoEven my own personal transportation company targeting the rising vertical market, that I pitch in the US as "We're Uber for Elevators!" and in the UK as "We're Lyft for Lifts!". Get in on the ground floor!
