How childish is it that they had to put in the termination letter something about "thanks for telling me three separate times there's no investigation ON ME"? It's almost like this administration is run by 8 year olds.
- BreakingLimbs 9y agoI think they included that because it was the only way they could get CNN/NYT to publish that fact.
- cthulha 9y agoI don't think you understand what it means
- syngrog66 9y agoeveryone: the above account was created 30 minutes ago and every comment so far is pro-Trump spin

- dguaraglia 9y agoI'll tell you what's wrong with that: people who are not willing to pay the social price of their opinions shouldn't voice their opinions in public spaces that - like Hacker News - foster considerate conversation. Places like r/the_donald have shown the kind of perverse groupthink that happens when members of the group feel they are exempted of the normal action/social-reaction feedback loop. If someone has a deeply held belief and they are willing to stand by it, then they won't be worried about "karma" points, right?
- anigbrowl 9y agoActually I agree with him, for different reasons. Putting that in the letter is definitely an attempt to shape the narrative, though unlike BreakingLimbs I don't think it is an appropriate one to use.
