Ask HN: Whiteboard interview questions are about to disapear?

How long will it take for companies like google, facebook, etc. to realize that whiteboarding questions aren't relevent at all? I see the trend, people started complainging and realized how stupid it is to judge a software engineer mostly on their ability to write code on a whiteboard. The question is - when will it disapear entirely from the recruiting process? Some hot companies already got rid of it, slack, etc. It seems that the trend is now picking up. No more college stuff...
