That was my first thought too; either the OP meant to write "Vim clone", or forgot to put "editor" after "Vim-like".

- gjm11 9y agoIt's really not unusual for an adjective to be used to mean "thing described by this adjective". Laptop (computer). Roguelike (computer game). A glass of the house red (wine). Tabloid (newspaper). Convertible (car). Mobile/cell (phone), though these days people usually just say "phone". Etc.
