If you think the situation is bad, you need some perspective. That is massively better than any major coastal city in the US, and better than any first world city that is growing. And even if it were bad by global standards, I'm pretty sure stagnant wages and declining housing costs is a way better situation than ours with declining wages and rapidly increasing housing costs.
