I'm really surprised that the author didn't mention the propaganda cartoons that came out of Hollywood during World War II. Pretty much all the great American cartoonists and animation studios produced propaganda films. There's a huge number of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Popeye, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, etc... cartoons that were made during the war: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bugs+bunny+world+war+2+cartoons&aq=0 http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bugs+bunny+world... Also, Dr. Seuss aka Theodor Geisel did a lot of political Cartooning during World War II: http://orpheus.ucsd.edu/speccoll/dspolitic/Frame.htm http://orpheus.ucsd.edu/speccoll/dspolitic/Frame.htm
