Me too, the first one had the digitizer and the SD port break and the second simply borked out of the blue... So I bought a cheaper and crappy smartphone to use as a GPS instead... Too bad I don't know enough electronics to reuse their screens : I could make a neat raspberry pi laptop out of them.
