Graphene is interesting I was working on synthesizing it for my undergrad thesis in Materials Engineering in 2010 (back then we were looking at using it in Li-Ion batteries). Personally I feel we are still more than 10 years away from mass applications. I'm happy to be proven wrong though. Thinking from a Materials POV in the next 10 years I think 3D printing (additive manufacturing) is an area where large advances will occur. New applications for 3D printed materials and wider adoption of 3d printing.
