With all the out of control government spending (in this case but also in general), I wonder... what did Puerto Rico get for all its borrowing? Obviously they spent the money but... on what?
- paulryanrogers 9y agoIIRC it was fuel for energy production. While other islands changed to other energy sources PR kept burning oil. So the spike in costs a few years ago probably hurt. There is also a large portion of the population receiving government jobs or support.
