Etsy is very successful overall. They've been dogged by poor management the entire time... Especially the founder. He had very confused visions that were wildly ambitious with ridiculous ideas, ignored the practicalities of the actual business they were in, and regularly shot himself, his staff and his customers in the foot. I wish someone else had done it. The way this worked out has hurt the segment they tried to serve - small business artists who want to bring their work to the public.
