Discourse is really a pain to self-host :/ I hate the whole Dockerized install thing. Why not just provide simple instructions on how to deploy and we can use Docker if we want to? Don't get me wrong, I like Docker but the way discourse does it is totally over-engineered.
- trustfundbaby 9y agoThat's just one way to run it. I actually run it on heroku without docker with no problems at all ... had to make a few edits here and there, but once I got it up I haven't had to touch it and its been humming along just fine for months now.
