I mean, yeah, you've caught me for sure. I had to look up what ME/PSP are -- I'm only familiar with processor architecture at a high level so I can only extrapolate from what the advantages of open source have been for me in my experience. That includes the option for developers to improve the limitations of a platform they're building on top of instead of working around them. My thinking was that the people who would want to do that when it comes to an open processor would be kernel developers.
