What is a dual?
- recursive 9y agoIt's a table in all Oracle databases that has nothing in it. Also, it's this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duality_(mathematics) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duality_(mathematics)

- bartl 9y agoPeople who have studied electrical engineering may recognize the word "dual" with the prototypical example in electrical networks: Norton vs. Thevenin. Both are equivalent but from coming from opposite ends. A current source in parallel with a resistor (Norton) is electrically equivalent to a voltage source in series with a resistor (Thevenin). (See, for example: https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/direct-current/chpt-10/thevenin-norton-equivalencies/ https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/direct-current/chp...)
